15-y-o boy charged for break-in and robbery at school in Hanover

A 15-year-old boy of Bull Bay district in Lucea, Hanover has been charged for breaking into a school and stealing money and a cell phone.

The teen, who was already in custody in relation to a different matter, has been charged with house breaking and larceny.

Reports from the Lucea police are that about 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, a woman securely locked the school's administration office and left.

The following day, it was discovered that the school, located in Esher district, was broken into and $39,000 in cash and a Samsung smartphone, valued at $27,000, were stolen.

A report was made to the police, and following further investigation, the boy was arrested.

On Tuesday, October 7, the teen, while in custody in relation to a separate incident, was charged after he confessed to the crime.

His court date is being finalised.
