Police constable dies following crash in St Ann

The Jamaica Constabulary Force is mourning the death of a police constable who passed away as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on Anglican Street in Moneague, St Ann today.

He has been identified as 34-year-old Christopher Condappa, who was assigned to the Moneague Traffic Department.

The police report that about 2:30 p.m., Condappa was driving his service motorcycle along the roadway when a Suzuki Swift motor car travelling in the opposite direction collided with him.

He sustained multiple injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The force’s Chaplaincy Unit, Medical Services Branch and Welfare Department are providing support to the family members and colleagues of Constable Condappa.
