Fatal police shooting in Old Harbour
A man was fatally shot by the police during an alleged confrontation in Old Harbour, St Catherine on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old shopkeeper Domar Lee of Marlie Acres in Old Harbour.
The police report that about 5:00 a.m., a team was on an operation in the community and went to a premises.
According to the police, upon entering the dwelling, the cops were challenged by Lee, who was reportedly armed.
The police say the cops took evasive action and opened fire, during which Lee was shot.
They say a .38 revolver containing three rounds of ammunition was seized.
He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Independent Commission of Investigation is probing the incident.
