Woman dies after collapsing inside church in Stony Hill, St Andrew

A woman collapsed and died inside a church in Stony Hill, St Andrew, on Sunday morning.
She has since been identified as Valerie Dubidad, a resident of Airy Castle Road in Stony Hill.
Reports are that about 9:45 a.m., the woman was inside the Church of God of Prophecy when she suddenly fell from her seat, began breathing heavily and later became unresponsive.
The Stony Hill police were alerted and she was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where a doctor pronounced her dead on arrival.
Two female church members who were inside the building said the now-deceased woman had attended an early-morning service and appeared to be in good health, actively participating in the activities.
One of the women said she was seated when she heard the sound of someone in distress and later saw Dubidad fall from her chair.
Investigations are ongoing.
