Technician shot dead in Spanish Town

A 26-year-old man was shot and killed in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ochain Bailey, otherwise called 'Elder' and 'Quickie', a technician of Bonanza Drive, Lauriston in Spanish Town.

Reports are that at about 9:25 p.m. relatives of the deceased were at home when explosions were heard. Bailey was later found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The police were summoned and, on arrival, Bailey was seen lying on the roadway with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The scene was processed and the body removed.

No motive has yet been established in the killing.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the matter.
