Two teenage boys have been charged with robbery with aggravation after they allegedly held a student at knifepoint and stole $5,000 cash along Half-Way-Tree Road in St Andrew on April 1, the police say.
Reports from the Half-Way-Tree Police are that between 3:10 p.m. and 4 p.m., a boy was walking through a plaza when he was approached by a group of males.
One of them allegedly held him from behind, brandished a knife, and threatened him, according to a police statement on Monday.
It is further reported that another member of the group searched the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet, which contained $5,000 and a bank card, before the suspects fled the area.
A report was made to the police, and a team later revisited the scene, where two suspects were apprehended.
The duo was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of their attorney and parents on Saturday, April 4.
