Pedal cyclist killed
And a 65 year old cane cutter from Kemps Hill in Clarendon is the first reported casualty of a fatal traffic accident in the parish since the start of the year. Nehemiah Brown was hit from his pedal cycle along the Kemps Hill main road yesterday afternoon.
The police say the accident occurred about 5:30. A White Mitsubishi Pajero was traveling along the roadway when on reaching a section of the Kemps Hill main road, the pedal cyclist suddenly swerved in the path of the vehicle.
Mr. Brown sustained injuries and was rushed to the Lionel Town Hospital where he later died. The Exeter police are now investigating to determine whether charges will be laid against the driver of the Pajero.
