Roads blocked in Portland

Two roads in Portland remain blocked following heavy rains yesterday.



Landslides and fallen trees caused the blockages.



National Works Agency (NWA), said they have cleared or restored single lane traffic to roads from Buff Bay to Whitehall, Alligator Church to Bellview, Buff Bay to Balcares and Balcares to Wakefield.



Communication Manager at the NWA, Steven Shaw, said efforts to clear some of the roads were affected by continuous rainfall.



He said the NWA would be working to have the Wakefield to Hardware Gap and Durham Gap to Chip Hall cleared today.
