75-year-old woman killed in hit-and-run in Old Harbour

A 75-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Old Harbour, St Catherine last night.

She has been identified as Amutual Smith of Red Ground district in Old Harbour.

The police report that about 9:00 p.m. on November 10, the senior citizen was walking along West Street in Old Harbour when she was hit by a motor car, whose driver did not stop.

Smith suffered severe injuries and was assisted to the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon, where she was pronounced dead.

The Old Harbour Traffic Department is investigating the matter.
