The Island Traffic Authority is reporting that the processing of Electronic Certificates of Fitness (eFitness) at all examination depots has been interrupted due to damage to fibre infrastructure.

The authority says efforts are under way to resolve the issue and restore full service within 24 hours.

It says the Court Administration Division and the Jamaica Constabulary Force have been notified about the service disruption.

“The authority appreciates the patience and understanding of the public as we work assiduously to fully restore the service.”

The agency noted that drivers whose eFitness certificates have already been processed can continue to access their certificates through the Certificate Generation and Distribution System (CGDS).

It said further updates will be provided once the issue has been resolved.
