PNP councillor Patrick Forrester killed, three others injured in crash in Westmoreland

People's National Party councillor for the Petersfield Division in Westmoreland, Patrick Forrester, was killed this afternoon in a crash after the vehicle he was travelling in ran off the road and plunged over a precipice.

The three other occupants sustained injuries and were taken to hospital, where they were admitted.

Reports are that Forrester and the others were travelling in a vehicle along a road in Whithorn, in the parish, when it went out of control.

The vehicle went off the road and down into a precipice, killing him and injuring the three others.

The incident is being investigated by the police.
