Policeman dies after being hospitalised following crash in St Elizabeth

Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are in mourning as a policeman who was hospitalised after crashing his motorcycle last Friday in St Elizabeth has succumbed to his injuries.

He is 27-year-old Constable Ezroy Boothe, who was attached to the Junction Police Station in the parish.

Reports are that about 11:10 p.m. on September 26, Boothe was driving his motorcycle along the main road in Lacovia when he lost control and crashed into a utility pole.

He sustained multiple injuries and was assisted to the Black River Hospital, where he was admitted.

He succumbed to injuries on Monday, September 29.

The incident is being investigated by the St Elizabeth Traffic Department.
